Choosing a drawer slide, a sliding system, or a semi-finished cabinet door is only the first step. That component then has to fit into the furniture design, be accounted for in the drilling pattern, and reach the CNC machining center without dimensional errors. It’s exactly this handoff, from the supplier’s catalog to the machine, that eats up the most time.
At SICAM 2026, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-Finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, you’ll find hardware, panels, surfaces, and semi-finished products all in one place. The 17th edition brings together around 700 exhibitors from all over the world, and we’re one of them: you’ll find DDX in Hall 10, Booth C23.
In this article, we explain why SICAM is a unique opportunity for furniture and design professionals, which software you’ll see at our booth, and how to request a free ticket to the show.
Why the SICAM Exhibition 2026 Is an International Benchmark
SICAM isn’t a CNC machinery trade fair. It’s where the furniture supply chain decides what goes inside a piece of furniture and what covers it: hardware and motion systems, wood-based panels, doors and semi-finished products, laminates, edgebanding, decor papers, appliances, and lighting systems.
The numbers show its international reach: around 700 exhibitors, 35% of them from more than thirty countries, led by Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, and Austria. In four days, you can compare suppliers you’d otherwise have to meet one by one, see the components for your next projects up close, and strengthen your relationships with the ones you already know.
A B2B Show Built for Designers and Manufacturers
Once again this year, SICAM proves to be a complete international showcase for professionals across the furniture supply chain.
Throughout its 17-year history, the Pordenone show has become a meeting point for:
- furniture, kitchen, and bath manufacturers;
- product engineers, designers, architects, and project managers;
- manufacturers of semi-finished products and subcontractors;
- dealers, installers, and fitters.
Alongside the sections for built-in components and systems, interior finishes, semi-finished products, hardware, surfaces, upholstery and fabrics, materials, and chemicals, there’s also room for software houses. The reason is practical: the component you choose at the trade fair then has to be drawn into the design, added to the bill of materials, and turned into machining operations for the CNC machining center.
Sustainability Has Its Own Category
Not long ago, sustainability was a niche topic in the furniture world. In recent years it has become a structural necessity, driven by increasingly strict regulations and growing consumer awareness.
The interior design industry is increasingly embracing the circular economy, focusing on reducing waste and recycling materials throughout the entire product life cycle.
At SICAM 2026, the product categories will also include products:
- made from recycled raw materials;
- with environmental certifications (LCA or EPD);
- designed for disassembly and repair.
What You’ll Find at the DDX Booth at SICAM 2026
In Hall 10, Booth C23, you’ll find our full range of software for woodworking and furniture making. The spotlight will be on XDesignPRO and EasyWOOD, which cover the entire production cycle, from design to manufacturing.
XDesignPRO for Your Furniture Projects
XDesignPRO is our CAD/CAM for designing furniture, cabinets, retail fixtures, and custom interiors. In a single workspace, you can draw an individual component or the entire project with an integrated CAD for lines and solids.
At the booth, our experts will show you:
- the complete, customizable hardware library, so you can add the components you choose from your suppliers to your project;
- multi-material management, from design and machining all the way to print file export;
- import of DWG, DXF, 3DS, OBJ, SKP, and STL files and export to DWG, STEP, and OBJ, so you can work with drawings from architects and suppliers.
If you’re evaluating furniture CAD software, we’ve put together the criteria for an objective comparison in our guide to parametric design for furniture and kitchens.
EasyWOOD: From Drawing to Machine Code
EasyWOOD is DDX’s woodworking CAD/CAM. It takes over the project when it needs to become a machine program. XDesignPRO integrates with EasyWOOD, so production steps stay visible and can be managed on a single machining center or across multiple CNC machines.
In the demo, we’ll show you how to:
- import 3D drawings with feature recognition that automatically generates machining operations;
- use the parametric engine and reusable macros across all your machines to cut programming time;
- run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis interpolated CNC machines;
- simulate machining in 3D with collision detection.

More Software at the Booth
At the booth you’ll also find our targeted solutions, each designed for a specific product:
- EasyWOOD NC, the touchscreen CAD/CAM you use right at the machine;
- PowerWIN for parametric design of wood windows;
- PowerDOOR for designing and manufacturing stile-and-rail, routed, or hollow-core interior doors;
- PowerSTAIRS for creating custom staircase projects from a dedicated model library;
- EasyBEAM and EasyWALL for timber beams, structures, walls, and panels, with BTL file import.
