On-site training is a concrete advantage for production workflows, especially when it comes to building hands-on expertise with new technological tools for the manufacturing of doors and windows.

The training on-site covering PowerWIN and EasyWOOD was led by our specialist technician Jacopo Midali directly at the Falegnameria Corradi facility, working side by side with the operators on the shop floor.

By working through real production projects, the team was able to apply the theoretical concepts they had learned in an actual manufacturing environment.

The History and Work of Falegnameria Corradi

The story of Aldo and Giulio Corradi — two brothers from Lavarone with a lifelong passion for woodworking — began in the early 1980s.

Starting from a small artisan workshop, Falegnameria Corradi has evolved significantly over the decades, growing into the company it is today. The business operates CNC machining centers and takes an innovative approach to production, one in which technology and sustainability have always played a central role.

All products — doors, windows, and custom wood furnishings — are tailor-made, with the utmost attention to detail and quality that have become the hallmark of every Falegnameria Corradi creation. This is precisely the environment where EasyWOOD and PowerWIN come into play: our wood processing and window & door manufacturing software, designed to integrate seamlessly with any type of CNC machining center.

Choosing PowerWIN for Integration with the SCM Accord 500

The training on-site focused on the integration of PowerWIN with the SCM Accord 500 machining center. This is a compact CNC machine, straightforward to operate and particularly well-suited for the processing of solid wood components.

The technical profile of the Accord 500 is further defined by:

  • 5-axis operating units with a 20 kW electrospindle, delivering greater precision and faster milling
  • up to 106 tools available on board the machine
  • the SVP function for independently clamping workpieces on each semi-table, activating only one suction cup group at a time

Falegnameria Corradi selected PowerWIN as its CAD/CAM software for its ability to interface directly with SCM machining centers, translating window and door designs into precise, optimized machining instructions.

How the On-Site Training Was Structured

The training on-site at Falegnameria Corradi spanned several days, alternating between theory sessions and hands-on practice directly on the machine. Jacopo Midali covered all the technical and operational aspects of both PowerWIN and EasyWOOD, progressing from foundational concepts through to the more advanced features of each software.

Once the theoretical groundwork had been laid, the team moved on to practical testing, applying the configurations developed throughout the week to real production scenarios.

The pieces manufactured during the session included:

  • a 92 wood window and its arched variant
  • a 92 wood French door
  • an 80 wood-aluminum window and its arched variant
  • an 80 wood-aluminum French door and its variant with lock
  • an 80 entrance door

Each piece helped consolidate the skills acquired and verify the seamless integration between PowerWIN, EasyWOOD, and the SCM Accord 500 machining center.
